Abstract: |
Bursts that show maximum or exclusive emission in the X-ray may hide objects at very high redshift. Measuring the redshift of bursts without optical counterparts would lead to a better comprehension of the nature and evolution of GRBs and probe the universe at high redshift. Previous studies have shown the existence of a relation between the complexity of the GRBs lightcurves and the Peak Luminosity in the gamma ray energy range. Here we define Variability in the X-ray energy range and we measure it using the BeppoSAX Wide Field Cameras data. We find a relation between the Variability in the energy range 2-26keV and the intrinsic peak luminosity of the bursts. |
