Abstract: |
The relation between photometric magnitude and colour for some very active late-type stars is investigated. We have found that the bluer photometric colour these stars show when they become fainter, cannot be caused by the hotter, unspotted component alone, but requires additional high-temperature flux. If the excess high-temperature flux is of photospheric origin (faculae), it is demonstrated that Doppler imaging is capable of recovering such areas. |
