Abstract: |
An “angular size-redshift” relation for radio structures in extra-galactic radio sources is reviewed with reference to its potential as a cosmological test. The test is providing a useful consistency check on other methods of measuring cosmological parameters, but can be based on data obtained from noncosmological observational projects. A future dramatic increase in the number of VLBI-imaged extragalactic sources with known redshifts will likely allow the relation to remain in the arsenal of cosmological tests. |
