Abstract: Many active galactic nuclei (AGNs) show variations in their continuum flux. The delay between their emission-line light curves with respect to their optical continuum light curves gives us information on the distance of the line-emitting region from the central ionizing source. The study of the line profile variations contains information on geometry and kinematics of the broadline emitting gas surrounding the central supermassive black hole in the nuclei of active galaxies. I present results of a spectral variability campaign of the Seyfert galaxy Mrk 110. These data have been taken with the 9.2m Hobby-Eberly Telescope at McDonald Observatory.
