| Abstract: |
Recent results of photometric cycles and surface images of active giants are discussed in terms of nonlinear 3D mean-field dynamos. The existence of mixed parity solutions with periodic and quasi-periodic time dependence is suggestive for explaining the nonaxisymmetric surface patterns observed on active giant stars. |
