Abstract: The radio structure of the Galaxy is reviewed with attention given to the features that are not observed in external galaxies. The current status of interpretation is described for the: nucleus, base disk, spiral features, thick disk, halo, and other large-scale radio features of the Milky Way. Treatment is given to the separation of thermal and nonthermal disk components, and observational factors are shown to impede the study of the halo feature. It is argued that radio observations are needed to study the form and brightness of the base disk, the spectral index of the low-frequency halos, and ratio of the brightness of the spiral features to the base disk. Other areas of interest include spatial variations in the spectral index of the thick disk and the streams and ridges that extend from disk to high-z SNR.
