| Abstract: |
We describe a detailed study of the distribution and dynamics of atomic gas in the centre of the IRAS bright starburst Arp 193. Using high resolution data taken with MERLIN and the VLA we find significant differences between the morphology and dynamics of the HI and that of the molecular gas as traced by interferometric CO data. Possible scenarios that could explain the observed differences are discussed. |
