| Abstract: |
A Fortran subroutine package called FITSIO has been written to provide a standard programming interface to easily read and write data files in FITS format. FITSIO provides a machine independent interface which insulates programmers from having to deal directly with the complicated FITS file formats. Programmers at the HEASARC are now developing a set of general utility programs using FITSIO to manipulate the contents of FITS files. |
