| Abstract: |
This paper describes the Groningen Image Processing System, GIPSY. GIPSY was built during the late seventies based on earlier systems developed in Groningen since 1971 and has recently been redesigned to run on a variety of Unix architectures. The general design philosophy, data structure and user interfaces are described in detail and a brief overview of the wide range of applications is provided. |
