Abstract: An algorithm is described to accomplish 2nd-order phase unwrapping and filtering. A motive for this IIR recursive lowpass filter is improved out-of-band rejection wanted by δ-sigma operation. An additional anticipated virtue is tolerance of higher slew rates for phase tracking. For faint sources, updating the recursion with each photon leads to unusual statistics.
