Abstract: In the past, published work on coronal temperature analysis using a number of different instruments has led to conflicting results. The more thorough investigations involved comparing data from imaging instruments, such as TRACE, to spectroscopic data from CDS. This work presents the preliminary results from STEREO-A EUVI data with co-ordinating spectroscopic Hinode-EIS data. The double filter ratio temperature analysis technique (using 171, 195 and 284 Å EUVI data), is applied to a series of points along a coronal structure. Two sets of images, with a 20 minute gap between them are analysed. At the same time, EM loci plots are constructed using EIS data of the same coronal structure, which has increased temporal and spatial resolution compared to CDS.
