Abstract:	Since the beginning of the VO, ESA has been very active in making sure that all ESA astronomical archives were VO compliant and in developing VO applications (VOSpec, VOQuest, Registry, DALToolKit). Through participation in the European VO Project (EURO-VO) and the IVOA (International Virtual Observatory Alliance), the ESAVO Project is contributing to the development of VO standards and activities.
