Abstract: The DEGAS (Dynamics and nuclear Engine of GAlaxies of Spiral type) collaboration aims at searching for sufficient conditions leading to the onset of nuclear activity in a sample of spirals with and without an AGN, selected as isolated to avoid the possible external contribution to the asymmetries in the potential. We present here the results obtained on NGC 6951.
