Abstract: We present a study of the low end of the initial-final mass relation and its dependence on metallicity. We computed a grid of full evolutionary models, from the Main Sequence, trough the Asymptotic Giant Branch phase, to low luminosity stages on the white dwarf cooling curve. We consider metallicity values from Z=0.0001 to Z=0.04 with initial masses between 0.8 and 3M. We found that the spreading in the observations can be explained by means of different metallicities of the environment. We also found a strong dependence of the pre-white dwarf age with metallicity.
