Abstract: In the first quarter of 2018, astronomers will be offered new powerful ways of interacting with the ESO Science Archive Facility (SAF). Users will be able to search and navigate through the science data products of ESO using a new visual web interface. Using their own favourite programming language or Virtual Observatory-aware tools, users will gain direct database and data access to the enriched science metadata, and to the collections of scientific data and ambient measurements. The novel data discovery capabilities, along with the technical solutions utilised (MS SQLServer, Elastic Search, Aladin Lite, HiPS, ADQL, TAP, DataLink, SSA, etc.) are here presented.
