Abstract: We present near-infrared spectra of point sources toward the Central Molecular Zone (CMZ) using NASA IRTF/SpeX at Maunakea. Our sample of 118 sources is largely composed of red point sources selected from near- and mid-infrared photometry, but also includes a few massive young stellar objects (MYSOs). We estimate foreground extinctions and measure H2O and CH3OH ice column densities toward each source. We find that most sources lack the 3.535 μm CH3OH ice absorption, and a large CH3OH ice arises only from one of our sample, which is known as a MYSO. This indicates that CH3OH ices mainly arise from the envelope of a MYSO, as frequently found in the Galactic disk.
