Abstract: Transport of cosmic rays in turbulent magnetic fields of interplanetary medium is most likely a diffusion process. The variation of cosmic ray distribution function obeys the Parker transport equation, which belongs to the category of Fokker–Planck equation. In this paper, we show how to use stochastic differential equations to solve Fokker–Planck equation with a method of Monte Carlo simulation. Advantages of this approach in seeking the physics of particle transport, particularly to problems in higher dimensions, are demonstrated.
