Abstract: |
Three different types of a data acquisition terminals were used for VSOP: the K4, the S2 and the Mark-IV, which were developed in Japan, Canada and the U.S.A., respectively. The compatibility was achieved by translating proceedures among the recording media, an IDR cassette of K4, a VHS cassette of S2 and a 14=81h reel tape of Mark-IV. In the next generation of space VLBI for ASTRO-G, the strongly recommended unified interface will be the Vlbi Standard Interface (VSI) established in 2001. Also, the successful accomplishment of the phase transfer from a ground tracking station to the space orbiting telescope is presented in this paper by showing the statistical analysis of the loop phase fluctuations. A similar phase transfer system is suggested to follow for the ASTRO-G project. |
