Abstract: New chemical models of primordial massive supernova (PMSN) ejecta based on a chemical kinetic approach are presented. We focus on the formation of molecules including gas phase dust precursors, and consider Population IIII zero-metallicity progenitors. Results for fully-mixed ejecta are presented for various progenitor masses. Large amounts of molecules in PMSN ejecta form at times as early as 250 days after explosion. Upper limits of dust mass are derived and compared to dust masses derived from existing studies of dust condensation in primordial SN ejecta. The present values are always lower whatever the type of mixing and the formed dust precursors imply different solid chemical compositions within the ejecta. We conclude that PMSNe are efficient molecular providers to the early universe, ejecting up to ∼25% of their progenitor mass under molecular form to the pristine, local gas.
