Abstract: |
We demonstrate the performance of the improved filter schemes of Yee & Sjögreen (2009) on a set of test cases involving different flow types. The idea behind the scheme improvement is to obtain high accuracy of the results and at the same time to avoid additional tuning of the scheme parameters depending on flow conditions. We show that using a local treatment of the dissipation control parameter κ one can obtain more accurate results than in case of using constant or global parameter with no additinal tuning implied. |
