Abstract: Courant–Friedrichs–Lewy (CFL) condition on the time step progression Δ tCFL heavily limits explicit integration techniques in fluid dynamics. CPU time consuming Eulerian implicit integration techniques perform stable computational fluid dynamics, paying the price of a small inaccuracy in calculations, without suffering such a strict temporal limitation. We present an effective way to perform Free Lagrangian Smooth Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) implicit integrations without any Jacobian matrix inversion operation. Application to a SPH accretion disc simulation around a massive black hole (MBH) in a binary stellar system is shown, together with a comparison to the same result obtained according to the traditional explicit integration techniques. A 1D critical test is also discussed to check the validity of the new technique.
