Abstract: |
We discuss results of 2D simulations of the magnetorotational (MR) mechanism of supernova explosions. We show that due to differential
rotation in the collapsed iron core of a massive star initial magnetic field is amplifying with the time. A MR instability develops and leads
to the exponential growth of all components of the magnetic field. The supernova explosion energy found in our simulations corresponds to the
theoretical estimations and results of observations. The simulations were done by specially developed implicit completely conservative
operator-difference scheme in Lagrangian variables on triangular grid of variable structure.
The energy of the supernova increases with the core mass and initial rotational energy. |
